Showcase of the latest campaigns we’ve launch on behalf of our great clients.

New client: FD-Works

We’re pleased to announce our latest client is South West-based financial planning service FD-Works.


FD-Works offers to growing businesses the kind of expert, on-demand financial planning, business advice and accounting that would usually be reserved for big corporations. They’ve cleverly automated many of the processes we love to hate using online accounting apps such as Xero and Receipt Bank. This lets us business owners focus on the bits that generate value!

React. Adapt. has been commissioned to help develop the brand’s digital, search and social media strategy.  Working in collaboration with local PR agency – ThreeC, we will be helping to build online presence and kick-start social media activity for the business over the next few months.

Facebook Success for River Monsters

After helping to launch and grow the UK Twitter profile in 2012, we were really pleased that Icon Films invited us back earlier this year to advise on their imminent Facebook page launch.

The show already had an established US page run by Animal Planet, so with the popularity of River Monsters expanding out across the globe Icon felt it was time to launch a page that would cater to this worldwide audience.

Our role was to arm the team at Icon with the relevant knowledge and skills to manage the page effectively and ensure the launch was a success. We also ran a series of Facebook ad campaigns that reached out to both existing fans and those River Monsters ‘virgins’ who’d only just discovered the show.

The results speak for themselves, with over 10,000 fans joining the page during the broadcast of Series 4 on ITV4 and posts now regularly attracting over 500 likes, comments and shares. Roll on Season 5!

Client Showcase: Chic & Seek

Chic&Seek offers a service that is, if not unique, definitely best in class.

Tara Nash-King, founder of Chic&Seek, works with women of London to recycle their wardrobes. But we’re not talking recycling a polyester dress from H&M that’s been put on a hot wash one too many times and sagging a bit around the hem.

Chic&Seek sells pre-loved designerwear. The clothes, shoes and accessories in near-perfect condition, sold by Chic&Seek, are from the wardrobes of women who heavily invest in the premium fashion houses of Chanel, Chloé, Hermés, and Prada.

As a fashion retailer, Chic&Seek appeals to women who appreciate high-quality, timeless pieces from these premium fashion houses – especially since the highly sought after pieces that Chic&Seek sell are discounted.

Tara has appointed us to develop Chic&Seek’s digital marketing strategy and expand the brand’s social media presence over the next 12 months. Our objective is to build sales for Chic&Seek by recruiting new customers, increasing repeat purchase and encouraging word-of-mouth.

We aim to achieve this with a mix of social media engagement, tactical Facebook ad campaigns, SEO and online PR. As always, the focus will be on developing engaging content that will drive conversation across social media.

Campaign Showcase: River Monsters with Jeremy Wade (Icon Films)

Extreme fishing show ‘River Monsters with Jeremy Wade’ balances entertainment with myth-busting factual content to offer a unique angle on the wildlife documentary format.

The show’s fast-paced approach combined with Jeremy’s angling experience gives it a broad appeal, whilst remaining credible with fishing fans. This unique formula has attracted an enthusiastic and evangelical online fan base which, until recently, has been solely cultivated by River Monsters’ US TV network – Animal Planet.

To tie-in with the January 2012 launch of Series 3 on ITV, Icon Films were keen to capitalise on existing online buzz around the show by launching a UK-focused social media presence that would also serve to support the PR campaign carried out by Spirit PR.

With lead times a challenge, we chose to focus solely on Twitter and (working alongside Spirit PR) launched the UK-specific profile @RiverMonstersUK. Twitter also offered an opportunity to interact with fans in real-time during each episode, spread positive word-of-mouth about the show while it was being broadcast and recruit new viewers for the following week.

Haynes will be a familiar brand with the motorists amongst you, especially if you fancy tinkering around under the bonnet from time-to-time. With 450+ owners workshop manual titles published over the last 50 years, Haynes has become synonymous with car & motorbike maintenance the world over.

Client showcase: Sixpack – music for digital DJs

For over 17 years CD Pool has been providing DJs with the most in-demand tracks ahead of commercial release. With the digital music moving from strength to strength, they launched their digital DJ service in 2010 – and Sixpack was born.

The premise is a simple one, receive six of the best tracks from your chosen genre each week. Busy DJs can pay a monthly subscription of £9.95 a month to receive their weekly packs, taking the hard work out of their music buying.

Since July this year React. Adapt. has supported CD Pool in developing the Sixpack digital strategy and launching the brand online, with a focus on developing the Sixpack social network communities. The best is yet to come however, with planned competitions and promotions coming soon.

Digital DJs can check out the Sixpack website for more info on what they offer and, of course, connect via Twitter or Facebook (where you will also find a regular stream of DJ-related tit bits!)

Client Showcase: WWT Wildest Hide & Seek (working with Spirit PR)

Working as an Associate Consultant for Spirit to deliver a Social Media outreach & online PR campaign for the WWT.

The online campaign was part of a larger PR drive to encourage participation in the WWT ‘Wildest Hide & Seek’ wildlife survey, which took place from 21st – 31st May. As a result gardeners, bird-watchers, nature-lovers, ethical campaigners, parent communities and journalists from across the UK all offered their help by covering the week-long event, as well as many of them participating personally.

Client Showcase: ActionAid ‘Make Your Mark’ (working with Spirit PR)

A short (2 week) Social Media outreach effort to create some awareness for ActionAid, their recent ‘Make Your Mark’ campaign and the associated event on College Green (Bristol).

‘Make Your Mark’ asked locals to provide their self-portraits using a downloadable template available on the ActionAid site. The self-portraits from the hundreds of West Country folk who entered were used to create a giant mosaic, which was unveiled on Bristol’s College Green on 1st June.

The resulting artwork was a huge portrait of 5-year-old Enid from Uganda (see above), who represents children from developing countries across the globe unable to go to school because of poverty. The overall objective for ActionAid was to encourage more people from the South West to sponsor children like Enid, helping to bring things like education, health care & clean water to their whole community.
